Following the exploits of the Kilkenny Senior team in claiming a 36th All Ireland Title last Sunday, club hurling was back in focus today.
There was 3 games down for decision in group A and 3 in group B in the Michael Lyng Motors Intermediate Hurling League.
In the early throw in’s in Group B Tullaroan overcame Tullogher Rosbercon on a scoreline of 17 points to 1-7, Young Irelands beat Graigue Ballycallan 1-15 to 1-13 and Thomastown beat Conahy 1-15 to 15 points.
In Group A Bennettsbridge beat St Lachtains 21 points to 2-9, St Patricks beat Dunnamaggin 3-12 to 16 points and Lisdowney overcame Emeralds 3-10 to 2-11.
