Kilkenny County Council and Gardaí are investigating after two horses were found dead at an area on the Hebron Road today.
The first animal has been removed from the Leggettsrath / Middleknock area and a spokesperson for the Enviroment Section of the Council has told KCLR this evening that they’re now in the process of removing the second.
The horses will be scanned for microchips and it’s hoped an owner will be identified.
Kilkenny Gardaí attended the scene and are conducting their own investigation.
