Investigations underway into north Kilkenny fire that saw 100 straw bales burn

An investigation’s been launched into what’s understood to be an incident of criminal damage in north Kilkenny close to its border with Tipperary.

Gardaí are looking into how a fire started at a business premises in The Islands area of Urlingford which burned 100 straw bales.

It broke out at about 7 o’clock on Friday evening and Gardaí are appealing to anybody who was nearby and who may have noticed suspicious activity to contact them at any local Garda station.
