All Ireland champions to be welcomed to Clara- home club of captain Lester Ryan this evening

Liam McCarthy will make his way to the home club of the Kilkenny captain this evening.

Lester Ryan who collected the cup on behalf of the senior hurlers in Croke park this weekend will be welcomed back to Clara this evening where the homecoming celebrations continue.

The All Ireland winning team will arrive at the Clara GAA grounds shortly after 6pm this evening and traffic restrictions will be in place around the grounds from 5pm.

Meanwhile tributes are still being paid to the record breaker Henry Shefflin who made history as he collected All Ireland medal number 10.

Team boss Brian Cody says all the praise is well deserved.
