If it’s tough at the top, it must be fierce hard going for Wiz Khalifa (227 million video streams and counting), his Fast & Furious 7 closer See You Again topping the Irish charts once more this week. While it’s four weeks at the top of the Irish charts, the track couldn’t reclaim top spot in the UK, sitting a second week in the number two position behind OMI’s Cheerleader.

The biggest jump of the top ten Irish singles this past week goes to Major Lazer feat. DJ Snake & Mo with Lean On, up 6 places to number three.

Here’s a look at how the charts shaped up at the weekend.

Irish Singles Charts Week Ending Friday 8 May 2015

  1. Wiz Khalifa feat. Charlie Puth – See You Again
  2. OMI – Cheerleader
  3. Major Lazer feat. DJ Snake & Mo – Lean On
  4. Years & Years – King
  5. Carly Rae Jepsen – I Really Like You
  6. James Bay – Hold Back The River
  7. Mark Ronson feat. Bruno Mars – Uptown Funk
  8. Maroon 5 – Sugar
  9. Jess Glynne – Hold My Hand
  10. Galantis – Runaway (U&I)

Robin Schulz’ Sun Goes Down featuring Jasmine Thompson, once of last week’s Jukebox Jury candidates, was the highest new entry for the week coming in at number 11.

So it’s four weeks now for Wiz Khalifa kicking off The Frequency all this week – will he hold on for a fifth week come this Friday?
