Irish Water is extending a ban on hosepipes to Kilkenny, Laois and Waterford this week.
Limerick, Galway and Kerry will also be included in the ban that was originally rolled out in the Dublin area yesterday morning.
It’s part of the effort to stop reservoir levels from falling during the warm dry weather.
Managing Director of Irish Water, Jerry Grant, doesn’t expect things to improve any time soon.
