Kildare ketamine haul estimated to be worth €540,000

A haul of suspected ketamine from Kildare is believed to be worth €540,000.

The seizure of 9kg of the drug came as part of a joint operation by the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, Newbridge Dogs Unit and Revenue’s Custom Service yesterday (Thursday, 13th Nov) when they searched a residential premises in the south of the county.

One man aged in his twenties was arrested and has been detained at a garda station in Kildare under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.

Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
