There’s been strong recognition for Kilkenny & Carlow following the weekend’s action, with Mossy Keoghan earning a nomination for Hurler of the Week.
The Tullaroan forward was in outstanding form, scoring 2–3 in Kilkenny’s win over Wexford, and has also been named on the Team of the Week.
There was further local representation in the selection, with Fiachra Fitzpatrick included after impressing for Carlow. His side recorded a 4–20 to 1–23 victory over Westmeath in the Joe McDonagh Cup.
Speaking on KCLR, analyst Adrian Ronan told Eddie Scally there is a growing sense of optimism around the Kilkenny setup.
“We have to concentrate on ourselves. I think we are going to get stronger. I believe Harry Shine played a club game, that’s a plus. I believe Adrien Mullen is on the way back — maybe not ready for a few more weeks. They are all positives.”
