Kilkenny and Carlow childcare facilities to share in more than €280,000 in funding

More than €285 thousand euro in funding has been announced for local childcare facilities.
Minister Katharine Zappone made the announcement earlier.
The Children’s Minister announced this morning that her department is awarding grants in three separate strands to 22 different projects across Carlow and Kilkenny.
Bennekerry Montessori school and Conahy Community playgroup are among those set to benefit from the Strand 3 funding with each getting nearly €5,000 through that.
Meanwhile, Askea Community services is in line for nearly €20,000 while Urlingford on the Move is getting €18,500 through the Early Years Capital Spend.
Three local facilities have been approved for Strand 1 funding – Muckalee community project is getting €50,000 to help them with a new building – staff there say they are delighted and were anxiously awaiting the news.
Coiste Naíonra Ceatharlach is also getting €50,000 while Brigid and Aimee Whittle in Kilkenny have been approved for a grant of nearly €49,500.
