Kilkenny Councillor says low-income families not getting a fair deal with new bin charges

A Kilkenny Sinn Féin Councillor has raised his concerns about the Government’s new waste management proposals.
Seán Tyrrell will raise the issue with the council, where he’ll request that they write to Minister Naughten about the proposals.
Councillor Tyrrell instead wants to see a national regulator, because he says low income families and those with medical conditions aren’t getting a fair deal.
Speaking to KCLR News, he says reducing the amount of packaging used should also be looked at.
