Kilkenny Gardaí investigating after ancient tombs damaged

Gardaí are investigating after some ancient tombs were damaged at a graveyard in Gowran.

They received a call from the OPW on Sunday morning, after their employees had discovered marks on the tombs at St Mary’s Church – which date from at least the 17th century.

Sergeant Catherine O’Gorman says they’re looking for anyone with information to contact Gardaí.
