Kilkenny All Ireland Homecoming info
The finer details of the homecoming for the Kilkenny Senior and Minor
hurlers have been announced.
It all kicks off at 4:30 in Nowlan Park on Monday afternoon.
Music and entertainment get the ball rolling at County grounds at 4:30.
The teams will arrive in Kilkenny around 5:45 and will go by open top bus
from the parade, through Rose Rnn street, John Street and the Hebron road
ending up in O Loughlin road.
The teams are expected on stage at around 6:30 and the event will
finished
at around 7:45.
Kilkenny Gaa, the council and Gardai are asking people to arrive early
and follow the stewards.
If the All Ireland final senior match is a draw, the homecoming will be
deferred.
The following car parking arrangements will be in place to facilitate
those wishing to attend the Kilkenny Teams Homecoming.
All Council Car Parks and on street parking will be free from
3.30 p.m. onwards
Ormonde Street Multi-Storey are offering parking at a special
rate of €1 between 4.00p.m. and 9.00 p.m.
McDonogh Junction are charging €2 for 3 hours but the
car-park will close at 9.00 p.m.
The car-park at County Hall John St will be available free of charge ,
closing at 9.30 p.m.
