A Kilkenny man undertook his first official engagement as the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Defence Forces in his hometown last night.
Major General Kieran Brennan from Jenkinstown launched Derry Noonan’s book ‘From Kilmaganny to Kolwezi’ in St Stephen’s Barracks.

The deputy chief, who is also a former Kilkenny hurler and GAA All-Star, praised Derry for writing the story of his three tours of the Congo.
