The new President of Young Fine Gael is from Kilkenny.
Killian Foley Walsh was elected over the weekend at their national conference in Tipperary.
He’s been telling KCLR he hopes to strengthen the organisation saying they have a lot of work to do in advance of local, general and European elections to boost membership and ensure that candidates get on the ticket.
Meanwhile the Taoiseach and Tánaiste will take Dragon’s Den style pitches from new Fine Gael members in a Facebook Live event this evening.
The party’s ‘Make a Pitch’ campaign has seen around 100 new members join over the past 2 weeks.
They had to submit an idea for changing Ireland, and the best will be presented to Leo Varadkar and Simon Coveney later.
