Kilkenny residents told to be vigilant amid rogue trader reports

Older and vulnerable people in south Kilkenny are being urged to stay vigilant following reports of rogue traders calling door to door.

Gardaí say residents should only deal with trusted and reputable contractors and never agree to work or payment on the spot.

Families and neighbours are also being encouraged to check in on elderly or vulnerable relatives who may be more at risk.

Crime Prevention Officer with Kilkenny Gardaí Sgt. Eddie Brennan says: “Unless you need a particular service, don’t engage or feel you have to employ people calling to your door unexpectedly.”
