Kilkenny student to be honoured with Spirit of Community Award

A sixth year student from Kilkenny is a finalist in the Pramerica Spirit of Community Awards later today.

Anna Phelan attends Loreto Secondary School in the city.

She’s a student leader ambassador for mental health awareness charity Cycle Against Suicide, she’s also completed her St John Paul 2 Silver Award through volunteering with Archersrath Nursing Home & has given speeches to her school on mental health, women’s rights & Transition Year Experience.

She’s one of twenty due to be celebrated this evening.
