Scoil Aireagail in Ballyhale is celebrating a massive double gold victory on the world stage after two 5th year students won a major international competition in Baltimore USA.
Caoimhe Corcoran and Aoibhe Murphy both scored 87 points to secure top gold medals at the prestigious BALPEX global exhibition which is a long running stamp collecting and postal history competition.
Their exhibits on space exploration and international Christmas festivities saw the girls capture individual Grand Awards at the competitive American event.
The results mean both local students have officially qualified to represent Ireland at the Champion of Champions final in New Mexico next August.
