Kilkenny woman en route to World Transplant Games for ‘dream come true’ experience

A county Kilkenny fish farmer and entrepreneur is swapping her net for running shoes.

Mag Kirwan of Goatsbridge Trout Farm fame will travel to Dresden in Germany tomorrow (Saturday 16th Aug) as part of a 29 strong Irish Team to take part in the World Transplant Games.

She was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in 2021 and underwent eight months of chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant and told KCLR News’ Martin Quilty its been a goal of hers to wear the green jersey;
