In February of this year an extensive ground dig of nearby lands took place, but the search was suspended after a couple of weeks. It’s understood this search of open land was a place of interest back in the 1990s.
Deputy McGuinness says the continued commitment of investigators is encouraging and hopes the operation will finally provide answers and bring long-awaited closure to Jo Jo’s family, who have campaigned tirelessly since her disappearance in 1995.
