The number of people signing on in Carlow has come down 23% in the last four years.
In the last year alone the live register in the county is down 10%.

This is in keeping with the national trend which saw a reduction in most parts of the country since 2015.
The government says 155,000 new jobs have been created since their Action Plan for Jobs was launched in early 2012.
They’re targeting 200,000 new jobs by 2020.
