Limerick and Galway face off this afternoon in the highly anticipated All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship Final at Croke Park.
Throw-in is scheduled for 3:30 PM, and we will bring you live updates, and match analysis on KCLR 96FM throughout the entire day.
Ahead of the massive fixture, former Kilkenny star Charlie Carter, who won three All-Ireland medals during his illustrious career with the Cats, spoke to KCLR about the unique atmosphere, nerves, and excitement that define All-Ireland Final day.
“(I) won three and lost three. So I know that I know the feeling both sides, but it’s a magical day, sure it’s a magical day. A magical day for us, the week or two for the supporters as well, but the other thing is kind of crammed in a lot this at the moment in the current climate and you’d wonder if spectators are getting the full value out of it. You know what I mean? There’s nearly, you know, there should be three weeks nearly of a gap between the semi-final and and the and the final to for a build up, you know? The football was on last week and then they were talking about the football till Tuesday or Wednesday and then but that’s but it’s a magical magical day.” said Charlie.
The full interview with Charlie is on KCLR Sport today (Sunday) from 2pm.
