The communities of Kilkenny and Carlow have been rallying together over the last number of days and it’s thanks to their efforts that staff at St Luke’s Hospital have been able to cope.
That’s according to the General Manager, Anne Slattery who’s been thanking all those who have gone above and beyond to ferry nurses and doctors to and from the hospital.
However, she says help is still needed today (Saturday) and if there are any drivers available to get to places that are still snowed-in she’s asking them to get in touch.
Anne has told KCLR they’re now trying to support their colleagues elsewhere.
