Kilkenny enterprises were celebrated on Saturday night at the annual business awards.
Organised by the county’s Chamber of Commerce, Lyrath Estate Hotel hosted the event which was attended by hundreds, all of whom were kept entertained by Master of Ceremonies Marty Whelan.
Ford and Hyundai dealership Michael Lyng Motors took home the Family Business of the Year and Overall Business of the Year titles, judges commending its’ ethos of prioritising both customer and staff well-being while acknowledging its support for their local community.
President of the Chamber, Anne Barber, said; “It is a special privilege to be recognising the best of Kilkenny businesses. Winning aside, all shortlisted businesses should be proud of their tremendous achievements in getting through the rigorous judging process”.

Chamber’s chosen charity for 2024 was the Cois Nore Cancer Support Centre and €6,000 was raised thanks to the generosity of all those present while the night also saw support for the KCLR Spirit of Christmas initiative which includes our bid to Light Up Carlow and Kilkenny Together.
CEO John Hurley paid tribute to the night’s sponsors, who make the Awards possible, and thanked John Masterson, Fastlane Audio Visual, Mycrofilms, A Digital Medial Hub and the Lyrath Estate Hotel, the Chamber’s partners in the presentation of the night.
