Local businesswomen to gather for National Women’s Enterprise Day

An event to encourage local female entrepreneurs to expand their businesses is taking place in Carlow this evening.

It’s been organised jointly by Carlow, Kilkenny and Wexford’s local enterprise offices for National Women’s Enterprise Day.

The theme this year is ‘Open Doors to New Markets’ and will see speakers from all three counties giving advice on financing, training and networking amongst other things.

Anna Byrne of Carlow’s Local Enterprise Office says you will have to register in advance if you want to go this evening.

She told KCLR news it’s all about networking and entrepreneurs putting themselves out there.
