Local child care costs below the national average

Childcare costs in both Carlow and Kilkenny are below the national average of just over €167.

A new report which provides an overview of 4,300 childcare facilities across Ireland shows that the average weekly cost of a full-time place in a childcare facility in Carlow is €146.79.

This is the fifth cheapest average across the country but it’s higher in Kilkenny at €156.03.

Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown has highest childcare costs of almost two hundred and 14 euro while Monaghan has the lowest at just over one hundred and forty two euro.
