A man who went to school in Kilkenny has spoken to KCLR about his life-changing injury.
Stephen Shortall, who went to school in St Kieran’s, fell down the stairs of his appartment on New Year’s Eve 2014 and had to undergo emergency brain surgery at Beaumont Hospital.
Stephen’s family were summoned to his bedside at the time as it was feared he might not recover consciousness.
Although he always remained optimistic, Stephen told KCLR Live that there were dark times.
