Local politicians will meet with staff at St Luke’s hospital this morning to hear their concerns over proposals to close maternity beds there.
Sinn Féin Deputy Kathleen Funchion, Fianna Fáil’s John McGuinness and Senator Jennifer Murnane O’Connor will speak with staff directly
Deputy Funchion says they had hoped to meet with management after emailing them.
She says they were told they would receive a reply to those emails within 15 working days but that deadline is now up and they’ve heard nothing.
Speaking to KCLR this morning Deputy Funchion says there are serious questions to be asked over the attitude of management.
