A peaceful anti-water-charges demonstration will be taking place locally this afternoon.
This comes as a large-scale march against the jailing of four water protesters during the week is set to get underway at 2 o’clock.

Demonstrators will be marching from the Central Bank in the capital to Mountjoy prison.
Kilkenny’s Anti-Austerity Alliance member, Conor Mac Liam, told KCLR News that the local protest is also a show of support.
The vigil takes place at 2pm outside the Garda station in Kilkenny City.
