16 local schools are set to benefit from this years Summer Works scheme.
The Department of Education has announced 36 million euro under the first round of funding for the scheme in 2014
It will allow schools to improve and upgrade their existing buildings, with particular focus on gas, electrical and mechanical works over the summer months to keep disruption to a minimum
7 primary & secondary schools in Carlow will get the funding and 9 in Kilkenny.
