Local youth clubs to share in a total of more than €100,000 of funding

Kilkenny’s and Carlow’s youth Clubs will share over €106,000 in funding that has been announced.

Kilkenny has got the lions share of the money allocated with 22 groups sharing €80,669 between them with places such as the no name clubs, Castlecomer Youth Cafe and the Kells Scouts getting the cash boost.

The amounts per group range from €2,000 up to €5,000.

Carlow has seven groups benefiting from the shared €26,000, including the Carlow Town Scout Group, Rathvilly Foróige and Order of Malta.

The money will be spent on things like sports and musical equipment and camping gear.
