Locals urged to register your vote for upcoming Referendums & by-election

The Referendum Commission is launching a new campaign urging people to register to vote in the upcoming referendums – on marriage and on the age of presidential candidates.

The Commission is running an online, radio and outdoor advertising campaign over the next two weeks encouraging people to check the electoral register to ensure they can cast their vote.

Those hoping to vote, who are not on the register, can do so before the 5th of May.

The referendums are due to take place on Friday the 22nd of May alongside the Carlow-Kilkenny by-election.
