A location for a new respite centre for children in Carlow is close to being confirmed, according to Pat Deering.
The local Fine Gael Deputy has told KCLR news that the tender documents are currently being finalised, and it’s expected the tender process will be advertised soon.
The overnight respite care for children with special needs is expected to return early next year.
Health Minister Simon Harris visited Carlow back in August and a made a commitment to put a new service in place.
Speaking to KCLR today, Deputy Pat Deering says it should be in place by early next year.
