A man’s been arrested in connection with the death of another man in County Kildare.
It follows an assault between 3 and 4pm yesterday (Thursday, 8th Feb) as a residence on School Street in Kilcock.

A man aged in his fifties was pronounced dead at the scene – a post mortem examination’s due to be conducted this morning.
A man in his forties has been arrested on suspicion of murder as part of this investigation and has been detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at a Garda Station in Kildare.
Gardaí are appealing to anybody who was in the area at the time who may have noticed anything to contact them.
