A man has been charged with the murder of Rita Apine this evening.
The 29-year-old mother died on Sunday last in St Luke’s Hospital after being found at the bottom of her stairs at her home in Freshford.
A man in his 30s was arrested yesterday afternoon and remains in Kilkenny Garda Station.
He will appear before a special sitting of Kilkenny District Court at 11am tomorrow (Sunday).
