Gardaí say a scene preserved in Kilkenny yesterday was the result of a serious crash.
The area, just off the Dublin road had to be sealed off to allow for a forensic team to examine the crash scene.
The accident happened early on Wednesday afternoon – a man was taken to hospital with a serious medical condition and was later pronounced dead.
His death is not being treated as suspicious. Nobody else was injured.
