Man dies following assault last Sunday in Kildare

A man who was assaulted in Kildare town last Sunday has died.

Aged in his twenties, he’d been found unresponsive on McGee Terrace in the early hours of that morning.

He was taken to hospital where he has since passed away.

The coroner’s been notified and a post-mortem examination will be carried out, the results of which will determine the investigation’s course.

Anybody who was in the area between 2am and 4am or who might have information or footage is asked to contact any garda station.
