A second single-vehicle crash in County Tipperary has resulted in another loss of life.
Earlier, we told of how a woman aged in her eighties died in Toomevara, Nenagh in the early hours of this morning.
Now Gardaí have confirmed that a man aged in his forties died in a road incident on the R445 at Birdhill.
He was the sole occupant of the car and his remains have been taken to University Hospital Limerick for a post-mortem examination.
The route remains closed at the scene which will undergo a technical examination by the Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who was on the stretch between 10pm last night (Saturday, 8th Nov) and 8am this morning (Sunday, 9th Nov) to contact them, especially if they have some sort of footage.
