A man’s due in court today following the seizure of a firearm in County Kildare over the weekend.
At about 5pm on Saturday during a targeted operation in the Carbury area, Gardaí uncovered a shotgun which is undergoing analysis.

A man aged in his forties was arrested at the scene and detained for questioning under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
He has since been charged and is scheduled to appear before Naas District Court.
