A man was taken to hospital following what Gardaí have called a serious assault in Tipperary Town.
It happened at about 2am yesterday (Tuesday) morning on the roadway outside Greenane Drive.

The injured party, aged in his forties, was taken to University Hospital Limerick where his condition is described as serious but stable.
Two men aged in their thirties have been arrested with both detained at Garda stations in County Tipperary.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have information on this incident to contact them, in particular those with footage of any kind.
