More bad luck for Carlow couple whose oil was siphoned

The Carlow couple whose oil tank was siphoned in Graiguecullen in recent days have been hit again – but this time by an oil spill.

In a bizarre twist, an oil spill on Sleaty Road meant a car slid and smashed into the wall of the couple’s home yesterday afternoon.

Their wall was knocked down just days after the community rallied around the elderly couple to help replace their oil.

The couple’s son, Padraigh, took to Facebook last night to say he hopes their bad luck doesn’t come in threes and to warn people about the slippery road.
