Motorists advised to avoid M9 stretch following crash

Motorists for Kilkenny or Carlow from Dublin are advised to avoid a stretch of the M9.

Emergency services are dealing with a crash southbound between Junction 2 (Kilcullen) and Junction 3 (Athy).

Transport Infrastructure Ireland says the mainline there is closed with traffic on hold.

KCLR listeners says it appears to be a ‘bad accident’ which has stopped the southern flow of traffic.
