Multi-million euro shopping centre for Carlow still going ahead, says local senator

Carlow needs this to happen.

The words of Senator Jennifer Murnane O’Connor as questions are raised over the lack of progress on the planned Carlow Central development in the town.

The multi-million euro shopping centre should be well off the ground at this stage according to the plans announced last year.

However, nothing has happened since Penneys moved off the site and into Carlow Shopping Centre.

Senator Murnane O’Connor told KCLR News she has it on good authority that the development is still going to happen.
