A range of new jobs have been created in Carlow, as a new nursing home opens its doors today.
Killerig nursing home in Grange has been developed as a centre of excellence for older people’s services.
The four-star 42 bedroom Killerig Hotel has been turned into a nursing home – that will provide residence for 45 people and work for 110 people.
The hotel was first opened in 2007, but it closed in 2012 with the loss of over 50 jobs.
Speaking to KCLR, Margaret Ann Walsh described the design process as a key part of their development.
