There’s been no improvement in the condition of a woman who was the victim of a vicious assault in Carlow last month.
The local woman in her 50’s was found unconscious in the grounds of Pollerton Castle on Sunday, June 25th.
She’s been in St Luke’s Hospital in Kilkenny since, where her condition is still quite serious.
It’s understood she has suffered bleeding on the brain as a result of her injuries.
A man has been charged and remanded in custody in relation to the incident but Gardaí say the investigation is still active and they are anxious to hear from anyone who has information that might assist them in their inquiries.
