The Bishop of Kildare and Leighlin says no parish closures are currently planned, despite a shortage of priests.
Bishop Denis Nulty says the diocese is preparing for a “new reality”, with some priests taking responsibility for multiple parishes and greater involvement from lay people, deacons and pastoral ministers.
He says the changes are challenging, but should also be approached with hope.
