Numbers presenting at a local shelter are up 30%

“Homelessness is a trauma within itself” – so says the director of the Good Shepherd Centre in Kilkenny which offers shelter to homeless men.

On KCLR Live this morning Noel Sherry said the numbers presenting are up more than 30% and they are consistently full or over capacity.

He added the people they are seeing are normal, everyday people who just cant find an affordable home.
