Offices of Carlow County Council closed this morning as staff attend funeral of a colleague

Carlow County Council offices are closed this morning as staff bid final goodbyes to a colleague.

Ger Dooley died suddenly at home on Monday, his funeral takes place at 11am this morning at The Holy Family Church, Askea before he’s laid to rest in St Mary’s Cemetery, Carlow.

To allow for friends within the local authority to attend, all offices will be closed until 2 o’clock this afternoon.
