One man seriously injured following a crash on the outskirts of Kilkenny City.

The N10 Kilkenny Link Road remains closed following a serious crash.

The incident at Templemartin involving a lorry and a number of cars happened shortly after lunchtime.

The driver of one of the cars was airlifted to the mater hospital in Dublin with serious injuries.

The road has been sealed off for a tecnical examination and diversions are in place.

Gardaí are appeaking for any witnesses or anyone who may have dashcam footage to make it available to them at Kilkenny Garda Station.
