One person arrested following man’s death at a County Laois hotel

One person’s been arrested in connection with the death of a man at a County Laois hotel.

Gardaí were called to the premises before 8pm last night (Tuesday, 12th November) where they found the deceased, aged in his sixties.

A man in his thirties was arrested and has been detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at a Garda Station in the Eastern Region.

The scene was sealed off pending a technical examination and an incident room has been set up at Portlaoise Garda Station – anybody with information can contact 057 8674100.
