One person dead following two car crash in county Tipperary

A woman aged in her twenties has died following a  two-car crash in County Tipperary.

It happened at about 9 o’clock last night between Nenagh and Dromineer.

Emergency services were called to the scene where they pronounced the driver of one of the vehicles dead – her body’s been taken to University Hospital Limerick for a post-mortem examination.

The route remains closed this morning with an examination to be carried out there later.

Gardaí are appealing for anybody who was in the area between 8:15 and 9:15pm who might have witnessed what happened or captured footage to contact them at any Garda Station.
